Hero’s Encore was founded by a team of Veterans, military families, and community leaders who spent over 10 years supporting Heroes through a national music program—graduating more than 200 local Veterans right here in Nebraska.
After witnessing the life-changing power of creativity and connection, we saw the need to go further: to keep donor support local, to include First Responders and Transitioning Service Members, and to evolve beyond music into a full resiliency program designed to restore identity, confidence, and purpose after service.
Launched in 2025 by Taylor Ullom (USAF, OEF/OIF Veteran), David J. Mike (Ret. SMSgt, Vietnam-era), James Hoy (Ret. Army COL, Gulf War-era), and Jordan Ullom (family advocate and military child), Hero’s Encore is built on lived experience and powered by a team committed to setting the standard in nonprofit leadership, program development, and community impact.
